Relik Sound began as a deeply personal passion project, born from my love for music and an interest in reshaping how creative industries access high-quality tracks. The idea was simple yet bold: create a music licensing platform that serves premium, niche markets such as luxury, fashion, and upmarket brands while breaking away from traditional licensing models.
At its core, Relik Sound offers something scarce and exclusive: tracks that embody individuality and artistry while avoiding the cumbersome royalty processes. Every aspect of the brand, from its minimalist identity to its seamless user experience, was crafted to reflect this vision.
The name "Relik" encapsulates the brand ethos perfectly. It’s a nod to the fleeting nature of true exclusivity: here today, gone tomorrow. Much like a relic from the past, each track on Relik Sound holds timeless value, yet its availability is intentionally scarce. Once a track is purchased exclusively, it disappears from the store forever, amplifying its unique value for the buyer.
This scarcity-driven approach creates urgency while aligning with the brand's appeal to luxury and niche markets, making every purchase feel like a rare find.
Minimalist Brand Identity

To reflect Relik Sound’s premium positioning, I developed a minimalist brand identity that speaks volumes through its simplicity. The visual elements were designed to mirror the sleek elegance of luxury brands, with a colour palette and typography that exude sophistication. The logo itself—a modern symbol of the brand’s essence and strength: exclusivity and artistry.
The Business Model

Relik Sound operates on a model designed for flexibility and high-end appeal:
Exclusive Licensing: Buyers can purchase tracks exclusively, with the guarantee that the song will be removed from the store post-purchase, ensuring uniqueness.
Non-Exclusive Licensing: Tracks are also available for general licensing, appealing to smaller brands or indie creators. But also with a limited low number of licensees.
Hassle-Free Artist Licensing: Relik collaborates with artists directly, offering a licensing model without the complications of royalties. This simplicity attracts both artists and buyers, creating a frictionless ecosystem.

Subscription: For perks and above all, way more competitive prices. Providing up to 50% discount on track licensing.
This model positions Relik Sound as a forward-thinking platform that meets the needs of luxury brands, upmarket campaigns, and independent creators seeking bespoke soundtracks.
The website design played a vital role in Relik’s success, focusing on a platform that highlights the music while making browsing and purchasing seamless. Tracks are categorised by mood, style, or purpose for easy navigation, while e-commerce features allow straightforward purchasing with no complex licensing steps. The responsive design ensures smooth performance across devices, maintaining a premium feel that reflects Relik’s exclusive brand identity.
Relik has been quickly growing from a passion project to becoming a global platform, since it has been attracting producers and composers worldwide. Its appeal to luxury markets brought in high-end brands, with clients like boutique fashion labels and indie filmmakers valuing the quality and exclusivity on offer.
Relik Sound combines my love for music, design, and digital innovation. From the minimalist brand to the intuitive platform, every detail was carefully planned to align vision and execution. It’s more than a business—it’s a testament to music’s ability to inspire, connect, and elevate.
