Fruits Deserve a Second Chance

Rescued Spirit Co. is an Australian craft gin brand with sustainability at its core. Based in Mildura, in the heart of the Murray Darling region, the company gives discarded citrus fruits a second chance by transforming them into premium gin. Their tagline, "Do yourself a Flavour," perfectly encapsulates their playful yet responsible approach to spirit-making.
Glove was tasked by 92Proof with building a responsive website for their client, bringing the brand’s citrus-based characters to life through animation, and bringing to life their content strategy for digital and social media over the course of a year.
Rescued Spirit Co. wanted a digital presence as unique as their product. The goal was to create a website and social content that would showcase their commitment to sustainability in an engaging way. Highlight the playfulness of their brand identity and create a deeper emotional connection with their audience through storytelling and animation.
The animations were integrated into the website as subtle interactive touches—like characters rolling across the screen or reacting when hovered over—and used across social media to boost engagement and tell the brand’s story in a fun and digestible way.
The website was built to be as fresh and vibrant as the brand itself. From the moment visitors landed on the homepage, they were immersed in a world of bright colours, dynamic visuals, and the unmistakable charm of the animated citrus characters.

Carefully designed to tell the story of Rescued Spirit Co., the site included an interactive section that traced the journey of rescued citrus from the Murray Darling orchards to the gin bottle. Each page seamlessly integrated these storytelling elements with practical features like an optimised e-commerce platform. The responsive design ensured the site performed flawlessly on any device, creating an enjoyable user experience that mirrored the brand’s approachable personality
Beyond the website, Glove also designed Rescued Spirit Co.’s digital social posts, following their strategy, which I led for a full year. The content included a mix of campaign videos, creative cocktail recipes, and sustainability-focused posts that kept the audience engaged and connected to the brand’s mission.

The content leaned into the playful tone established by the animations, offering bite-sized narratives about the rescued citrus journey and highlighting the company’s sustainability efforts. This consistent storytelling helped build a strong, relatable connection with Rescued’s audience while reinforcing their unique position in the market.
